Special Events Happening at North:
Don Graham Tribute Games:
On February 13th at North Catholic High School there will be a special
day of basketball games to honor Coach Don Graham. Games – 4 PM Trinity
vs Ellwood City 6 PM Mars vs Trinity Christian 8 PM North Catholic vs
Seneca Valley. The Bill Florijan ’67 6th Man Award and Mike Graham
’67 MVP Award will be given after each game. Join us for a
reception honoring Don Graham in cafeteria following final game. Pizza
and beverages will be provided.
CASH BASH: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2010
The North Catholic Athletic and Activities Association (NCAAA) will
host its annual Cash Bash, but with a new twist! This year we have added
a Night-at-the-Races to the annual festivities in addition to giving
away
cash every 15 minutes, we will have small games of chance, a buffet
dinner, beer and mixers, raffles, a silent auction, and a good time for
all! Please plan to attend this important fund-raising event. This event
makes it possible for all NC students to participate in athletics and
activities without paying additional fees. Tickets can be purchased for
$25 from any NC student or by contacting the NC business office at
412-321-4823, ext.112.
CONGRATULATIONS:
Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame – Western Chapter:
Both NC Grads Joe Bushofsky and Art Rooney Jr. have been voted into the
Western Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. They will be honored
and inducted in May. More information will follow.
Trojan Triumph Announces:
Drs. Michael Lamb and Kathy Lamb will be Co-chair Couple for this years
Trojan Triumph with Mr. Michael Turzai and wife Lidia acting as Honorary
Chairs. Ms. Beth Young will be receiving Heritage Award at this years
event on May 7th.
Prayers:
Recently Carl J. Dorsch, class of 1949 passed away. His Grandson,
Dave, is presently a sophomore at North, and son Carl ’74 and grand
daughter are also alums. He passed away a few weeks ago. We apologize
for the delay of this notice.
George Appel ’56, Bill Linkenheimer ’51 Coach Dave Long ’70 and Don
Graham ’75 are all recovering from his past health issues and need your
continued prayers. All are recovery nicely.

Art: Congratulations on being inducted into the western Pa. hall of fame. The induction has been truly deserved and a long time coming. Your contribution to the Steelers was outstanding and I thank you for the opportunity to spend many wonderful years in scouting. ( except for the travel). Hope all is well with you and your family.
